Ever wondered why yoga teachers say at the start of your class "Set your intentions for class"?
Yoga is the practice in being your best self, no I don't mean being perfect ;) I mean being the best you, setting yourself good intentions even out of your yoga class. This could be a range of different things, even as simple as putting aside a certain amount of time for yourself by waking up a little earlier than you have to (worth it). In this time you could make yourself a nice healthy breakfast to start your day right and have time to appreciate it. Or even by doing a quick 15 minute yoga class online. However in a yoga class setting your intentions doesn't mean to push yourself to your extreme. It means to acknowledge where your body and mind is at on the day and accepting it. It is so hard to not get your ego in the way but it is so important to listen to your body. If you don't you could injure yourself or injure yourself even more. It has happened to all of us, admittedly to me not long ago too. It is such a frustrating place! You know you can do it but for some reason it's just not happening! Please be patient and with determination and regular yoga classes you will get there. With love & light Sophie
